After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Helix, Grossmont was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mount Miguel Matadors with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Foothillers haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Saraya Roope and Nakhia Lee were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Roope pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Lee tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Roope got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Lee went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double. That's the most runs Lee has posted since back in March.
