Ta'john Royster Delivers Best Effort of Season
Ta'John Royster produced his most outstanding game to date while leading East to the win on Friday. Royster rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory was the sixth in a row for East, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Royster and East will challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Darion Matlock and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Darion Matlock was instrumental in extending East's winning streak to six on Friday. Matlock rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards.
For the season, Matlock has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 35.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Davell Brock Dazzles in Linden-Mckinley Win
Davell Brock was instrumental in extending Linden-McKinley's winning streak to four on Friday. Whetstone had no answer to Brock as he rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Linden-McKinley's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3. Brock and Linden-McKinley will head out to take on Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Big Game from Harrison As Northland Won 58-6
Northland found a leader in Akeilles Harrison as the squad took down Mifflin on Friday. Nobody could stop Harrison as he threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards.
Northland pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Harrison and Northland are taking a road trip to square off against Whetstone at 6:50 p.m. on Friday.
