Rabun County is 5-0 against Tallulah Falls since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Rabun County Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Tallulah Falls Indians at 7:30 p.m. Rabun County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 687 points over their last ten matchups.
Even though Elbert County scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Rabun County still came out on top. Rabun County strolled past Elbert County with points to spare, taking the game 79-61. The victory was just what Rabun County needed coming off of a 81-60 defeat in their prior matchup.
Cooper Welch was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Burrell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists.
Meanwhile, Tallulah Falls' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oglethorpe County. While losing is never fun, Tallulah Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while Oglethorpe County is ranked 204th).
Rabun County's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Tallulah Falls, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Rabun County was able to grind out a solid win over Tallulah Falls in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 73-62. Does Rabun County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tallulah Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
