If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for West Valley. On Friday they take on Shadle Park at 7:00 PM. West Valley will be looking to build upon the 31-20 win they picked up against Shadle Park the last time they played.
West Valley had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put a hurting on they to the tune of 49-0. They were heavily favored coming into this matchup, and the results showcase why.
Meanwhile, Shadle Park couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a grim 0-28 defeat to Lewiston.
West Valley's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Shadle Park's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if West Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Shadle Park can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of West Valley's step.
