Medina/Webber/Barker took care of business in their home opener. They had just enough and edged out Depew 14-12. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 8-51, which was the final score in Griffith Institute's tilt against Maple Grove last week.
Medina/Webber/Barker's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Griffith Institute's loss dropped them down to 0-1-1. We'll find out if Medina/Webber/Barker can add another positive mark to their record or if Griffith Institute can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Medina/Webber/Barker's step.
