Galena barely beat Carson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Senators on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Galena's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Carson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galena will head out to take on Reno at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carson, they will venture away from home to challenge Bishop Manogue at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Miners will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Senators surely won't give up without a fight.
