The Lincoln Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Westchester Comets at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
There was early excitement for Lincoln after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Wilson who ended up claiming the real prize. Lincoln fell just short of Wilson by a score of 32-30.
Despite their defeat, Lincoln saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Joshua Sosa, who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Jacob Gomez was another key contributor, throwing for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Westchester's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Hamilton at home and fell 48-18.
The losing side was boosted by Landon Davis, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Westchester, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
