Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Salem walked away with it. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Century Jaguars on Wednesday. The  win was nothing new for the Saxons as they're now sitting on eight straight.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13,  25-19.
South Salem was led to victory by  Ellenia Setzer and  Kamree Orizotti.  Setzer  had six  aces and three  digs, while  Orizotti  had four  digs and four  aces. Orizotti has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 11 times she's  played.
 They weren't the only good servers: South Salem  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 17  aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  ace total in three consecutive  matches.
South Salem's record now sits at 29-7-1. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.
As of now, neither South Salem nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
