Ritchie County took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Friday. Ritchie County just can't catch a break and has now endured six defeats in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Ritchie County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bodhi Utter. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with two steals. Jonah Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Among those leading the charge was Zachariah Wine, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Bush, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Ritchie County dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Gilmer County, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
Ritchie County will head out on the road to take on the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (St. Marys is ranked 72nd, while the Rebels are ranked 97th). As for Gilmer County, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Panthers at 7:45 p.m. on February 6th.
