Baseball Recap: Faith Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Faith Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Bryant Hurricanes. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brodie Wilson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Wilson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other pitching news, Wyatt Pippin looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Braydon Wright was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Faith Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Bryant, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Academy will face off against Vigor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bryant, they will take on St. Paul's Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
