Even though the Nation Ford Falcons have not done well against the Rock Hill Bearcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Nation Ford came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 63-53. Given Nation Ford's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Bearcats are ranked 120th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caden Giles was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on nine points, 11 rebounds, and 12 blocks. Another player making a difference was Jackson Burnham, who scored 19 points.
Nation Ford is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season. As for Rock Hill, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17.
Nation Ford will face off against the Vikings at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last four games. As for Rock Hill, they will be playing at home against the Bengals at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
