Despite the defeat, Pinecrest Prep saw an underclassman step up: Gabriel Guzman scored 27 points. That was a full 60% of Pinecrest Prep's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Castellon, who scored ten points.
BridgePrep Village Green pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Pinecrest Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
BridgePrep Village Green will head out on the road to face off against the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Somerset Academy South Homestead is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Pinecrest Prep, they will face off against the Dragons at TBD on Saturday.
