Tallwood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bayside, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Lions never let the Marlins get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bryce Newell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carter Flora and Connor Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Flora went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Jackson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Flora has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jazaih Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Tallwood's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Bayside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Tallwood will challenge rival Landstown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bayside is set to face off against their familiar foe Cox at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
