After losing to the Sweeny Bulldogs the last time they met, the Brazosport Exporters decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Brazosport took down Sweeny 55-39 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brazosport.
It was another big night for Deja El Amin, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Nadia Ewells, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Brazosport's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Sweeny, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 17-8.
Brazosport will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bay City at 6:30 p.m. Bay City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 841st, while Brazosport is ranked 408th). As for Sweeny, they will head out on the road to square off against Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
