White Station has gone a perfect 10-0 against Overton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. White Station will face off against Overton at 4:00 p.m. White Station is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
White Station will head out to face Overton after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. White Station fell just short of Southaven by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since May 3, 2024.
Andrew Rambo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Overton). They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over Craigmont on Friday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Overton got a massive performance out of Jeremiah Haynes, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Xavier Smith was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Overton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Overton's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for White Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. White Station has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Overton struggles in that department as they've averaged .575. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
White Station took their victory against Overton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for White Station since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
