John Paul the Great Academy is a perfect 3-0 against First Baptist Christian since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The John Paul the Great Academy Guardians will head out to challenge the First Baptist Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. John Paul the Great Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, John Paul the Great Academy got the win against Christian Academy of Louisiana by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Guardians, who have now won three matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Angelle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases.

In other batting news, John Paul the Great Academy let Jonah Petitt and Maximus Stewart run wild. Petitt scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Stewart scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Petitt has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Guidry, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

John Paul the Great Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Academy of Louisiana only posted an OBP of .294.

Meanwhile, First Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-0 to Christian Home Educators Fellowship.

First Baptist Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for John Paul the Great Academy, their record is now 3-1.

Everything went John Paul the Great Academy's way against First Baptist Christian when the teams last played back in February, as John Paul the Great Academy made off with a 20-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for John Paul the Great Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
