Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Living Water School). They walked away with a 98-87 victory over the Avalon Black Knights on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the The Storm as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the defeat, Avalon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jordan Fox went 10 for 16 on his way to 31 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That was a full 35.6% of Avalon's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nubek Hailu, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.
The Living Water School's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
