When it comes to explaining why Spencerville Adventist Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Reinhardt. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Thomas, who scored eight points.
Chisholm Trail Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Max Castro out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Castro pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Planells, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Spencerville Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.
Spencerville Adventist Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Warriors at 10:30 a.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Newman International Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, they and the Eagles will face off at 10:30 a.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. San Gabriel Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blazers in their respective states (the Eagles are ranked 119th in California, while the Blazers are ranked 813th in Texas).
