The Fullerton Warriors won against the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets last Friday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Fullerton breezed by the Red Hornets on the road to the tune of 48-21. Fullerton pushed the score to 35-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Hornets had little chance of recovering from.
Leading Fullerton to victory were Nolan Dubas and Kane Wetovick. Dubas scored 17 points along with six steals, while Wetovick almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Dubas hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrick Gonsior, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Fullerton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Heartland Lutheran, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14.
Fullerton will head out on the road to face off against the Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heartland Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Longhorns. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Burwell is ranked 257th, while the Red Hornets are ranked 267th).
