The Kimball Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 68-31 win over Potter-Dix. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, as Kimball did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kimball to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Paxton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Paxton's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Braxton Miller was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Potter-Dix's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaxen Buettenback, who scored ten points along with five rebounds, and Brayden Kasten who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him.
Kimball has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Potter-Dix, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kimball will take on Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bridgeport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for Potter-Dix, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leyton on Friday. Leyton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
