The Riverside Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the East Robertson Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Riverside comes in on seven and East Robertson on eight.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverside walked away with it. They took down the Bulldogs 32-14 on Friday. Riverside's win was all the more impressive since Fairley was averaging only 7.85 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, East Robertson's offense rose to the challenge against a Dragons defense that boasted an average of only 9.5 points allowed. East Robertson managed a 35-31 victory over York Institute on Friday. East Robertson pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit York Institute cut but never quite recovered from.
Isaiah Groves was his usual excellent self, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Riverside has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-2 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.3 points per game. As for East Robertson, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
