The Tomball Cougars will face off against the Klein Bearkats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tomball comes in on 12 and Klein on four.
Tomball's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Magnolia West 11-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Tomball got a great performance from Regina Amaya as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Amaya has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caitlyn Hamilton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Aubrey Murillo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Tomball was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Klein got the win against Klein Collins on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bearkats have posted against the Tigers since April 16, 2021.
Madilyn Schultz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Schultz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base.
In other batting news, Constance Hart and Avery Siddoway did most of the damage at the plate: Hart scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Siddoway went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Siddoway's first of the season.
Tomball pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Klein, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Tomball took their win against Klein in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 6-0. Will Tomball repeat their success, or does Klein has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
