Nico Kusic Turns in Season-Best Effort
Wheeling Central Catholic was led to victory by Nico Kusic, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Kusic threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending a pass and snagged an interception.
The win (which was Wheeling Central Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Kusic and Wheeling Central Catholic will play host again on Friday to welcome Catholic Central, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

Wheeling Central Catholic Gets a Boost from Martin in 55-20 Victory
Keeping Kusic company is Isaac Martin, a fellow Wheeling Central Catholic player. He rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 111 rushing yards dating back to last season.
For the season, Martin has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 102.3 rushing yards per game.

Kade Koroneos Has Career-Day on Friday
Kade Koroneos produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Wheeling Central Catholic to the win on Friday. Koroneos rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest reception was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.
This season, Koroneos has averaged 37.3 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to three.

Weir was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Lucas Mcallister did his best to prevent it. Keyser had no answer to Mcallister as he made five total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Rounding off our Top Five is Devan Juszczak of Oak Glen. Juszczak rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass.
Oak Glen is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. Juszczak and Oak Glen will take on Tyler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
