On Saturday, Mammoth came up short against Pyramid Lake  and fell  48-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Mammoth has scored all season.
 Mammoth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Tyler Jones, who  scored 14 points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals. Jones is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Forest Daniels, who  scored 14 points.
  Takoda Rivers was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and ten  rebounds for Pyramid Lake. That makes it five consecutive games in which  Rivers has scored at least 25% of Pyramid Lake's points. Another player making a difference was  Cash Hall, who  scored six points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Pyramid Lake, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mammoth will take on Rosamond at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Rosamond is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.1  points per game. Pyramid Lake and Lowry will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
