Matoaca has gone a perfect 10-0 against Meadowbrook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. Matoaca will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Meadowbrook's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Matoaca hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Warriors didn't even let J.R. Tucker on the board on Monday, marking the Warriors' second-straight 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kaylee Hodges made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Longacre, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makennah Harler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Matoaca always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as J.R. Tucker only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook lost 17-1 to Colonial Heights on Thursday.
Matoaca's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Meadowbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Meadowbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Matoaca has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Meadowbrook, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 strikeouts. Will Matoaca keep running through batters, or will the Monarchs buck the trend?
Everything went Matoaca's way against Meadowbrook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Matoaca made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
