Aberdeen and Soda Springs are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Aberdeen is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Aberdeen beat Malad 54-47. That seven points margin sets a new team best for Aberdeen this season.
Aberdeen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Griffin Knittel out in front who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knittel has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gage Driscoll, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Soda Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over West Side on Friday, taking the game 57-44.
Aberdeen's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Soda Springs, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Aberdeen didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Soda Springs in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-59 victory.
