Trace Pelfrey turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Wednesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cottondale is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-9 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Pelfrey and Cottondale will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. Coming in off a loss to Trenton in their last outing, the Cowboys is looking for some redemption.
