The Marquette Catholic Explorers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They took down Metro-East Lutheran 40-25. The victory was just what Marquette Catholic needed coming off of a 44-21 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Metro-East Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Isabelle McLeod, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. McLeod scored a full 52% of Metro-East Lutheran's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Marquette Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette Catholic will take on Maryville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Father McGivney Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Father McGivney Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
