AAA District 12 recap October 29, 2013
Overton extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 12 this week by beating McGavock, 32-3. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Bobcats.
Hillsboro took down Glencliff 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Raiders' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dustin McAbee threw for 63 yards and Chris Claybrooks had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Claybrooks chipped in 43 yards. Kyle Harrison helped McGavock's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.

Antwain Goodner was a key player and the best on defense this week as Jay Gore's team fell to the Bobcats. He nabbed 1 interception.
The Burros' Michael Hughes and Jay King have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Hughes has thrown for 1,091 yards this season, while King has 14 catches for 296 yards. Cane Ridge's Nick Fuqua leads the league in rushing yards with 1,272.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Overton takes on Antioch. The Bobcats are in first place, while the Bears are in fourth place.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Ravens and the Raiders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Cane Ridge comes in having scored 174 this season, while McGavock has scored 198. Jonathan Parks' team scored 35 points last week as it bested Hillwood.
The Ravens made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,356 from 3,871. The advance stemmed from a 35-0 victory over the Hilltoppers last week.
