Those  11  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with three  stolen bases, five  RBI,  and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Skylar Turner, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double.  Morgan Ashley was another key player,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
Bedford's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Maple Heights,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will host Laurel  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Maple Heights, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Cleveland Heights  at 11:00  a.m.
