While Blanco couldn't quite beat Llano on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 20-point defeat they were dealt on Wednesday. Blanco fell just short of Llano by a score of 33-30. Blanco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Mina Broyles, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kate Capshaw was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Ingram Moore bumped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.8 points per game. As for Blanco, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.
Ingram Moore ended up a good deal behind Blanco in their previous meeting on January 5th, losing 35-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Broyles, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
