The Lockhart Lions will finish 2023 at home by hosting the St. Michael's Crusaders at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lockhart is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Lockhart was beaten by Cedar Park 65-26. While losing is never fun, Lockhart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while Cedar Park is ranked 217th).
Meanwhile, St. Michael's scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They came out on top against Thrall by a score of 58-51. The victory was a breath of fresh air for St. Michael's as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Lockhart bumped their record down to 10-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Michael's, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
