Calvary Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 57-37 loss at the hands of Faith Baptist School. Calvary Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Faith Baptist School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Israel Cousins out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Eli Miller was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Calvary Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Faith Baptist School, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Calvary Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Tri-State Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Baptist School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenwood Mennonite at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Greenwood Mennonite is ranked 34th in Delaware, while Faith Baptist School is ranked 29th in Maryland).
