Basketball Recap: Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Takes a Loss

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering entered their matchup against Academy of Science and Innovation on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens. The contest marked the Jets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Academy of Science and Innovation had a senior duo take command as Ibrahim Sidik dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards and Mohammad Kulaib went 7 of 10 en route to 18 points. What's more, Kulaib also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in March of 2024. Lebron White was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering will square off against Classical Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Ravens duke it out with the Owls at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Academy of Science and Innovation is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season.
