After a string of five wins, the Mountain View Spartans's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 57-45 to Palo Alto. Mountain View has struggled against Palo Alto recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Jaden Feller, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Feller is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cunningham, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Mountain View's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8. As for Palo Alto, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6.
Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palo Alto, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Los Gatos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
