Football Recap: Northport Skates Past Deer Park with Ease

Northport put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Deer Park Falcons 33-6. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than 26 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Simon Blissett, who threw for 335 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Those 335 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Greyson Cabrera, who gained 188 total yards and a touchdown.

Northport's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Daniel Miller was the leader with three sacks.

Northport's record is now 4-0. As for Deer Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Northport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-7 win against Newfield on the 11th. As for Deer Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 31-21 defeat against Smithtown East on the 10th.
