Sebring is 6-1 against Auburndale since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Sebring Blue Streaks will get right back to it and host the Auburndale Bloodhounds at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Sebring has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Sebring scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on DeSoto County with a sharp 65-39 victory. Sebring has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Sebring's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gileanys Nieves Martinez, who scored 18 points, and Ashlyn Radonski, who scored 17 points. Radonski continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Shamari Jones was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Auburndale suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Jordan Christian Prep at home and fell 65-17. Auburndale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.
Sebring now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Auburndale, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Sebring against Auburndale in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 48-6 win. With Sebring ahead 35-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
