Malik Holman Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is South Lake's Malik Holman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Holman made nine total tackles. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
The victory (which was South Lake's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles faces off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Trace Kulczar Turns in Season-Best Performance
Trace Kulczar produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Horizon to the win on Friday. Kulczar wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. The contest was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.
The victory snapped Horizon's losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 1-7 record. Kulczar and Horizon will host Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Carl Jean-Bart Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Davenport was led to victory by Carl Jean-Bart, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jean-Bart picked up 225 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.6).
Davenport's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. Jean-Bart will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Horizon on Thursday.

For the year, Vasquez has averaged 4.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 2 sacks.

Kaio Oliveira Puts an End to Horizon's Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Kaio Oliveira, Horizon said goodbye to their seven-game losing streak. Oliveira did his part (and then some), rushing for 63 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 35 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
This season, Oliveira has thrown those 1 touchdown while averaging 14.9 passing yards per game.
