After a string of four wins, the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery Academy. If Alabama Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 64-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Skyler Stovall was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds for Montgomery Academy. Stovall hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was D.j. Vinson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds.
Alabama Christian Academy's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Montgomery Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Alabama Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th.
