Baseball Recap: Grimsley Gets the Win

Grimsley took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Orange, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Grimsley Whirlies had just enough and edged out the Orange Panthers 5-3. For the Whirlies, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Noah Christensen looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Clay Rosser also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grimsley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Orange, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grimsley will host Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grimsley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Orange, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Orange Panthers duke it out with Millbrook Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Millbrook: 3.2, Orange: 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
