Having just played yesterday, the Brady Eagles will jump right back in to play the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brady took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 46-33 victory over Cody-Kilgore.

Brady's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taryn Stearns, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Stearns a new career-high in blocks (five). Payton Stienike was another key player, putting up eight points along with 15 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Anselmo-Merna was able to grind out a solid victory over Hitchcock County on Friday, taking the game 52-40.
Anselmo-Merna's win came from a few key players Brady will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lily Thornton, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhianen Myers, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.
Anselmo-Merna was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hitchcock County only posted six assists.
Anselmo-Merna is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Brady, their record now sits at 7-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Brady has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Anselmo-Merna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Brady was taken down by Anselmo-Merna 49-18 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Brady, Shaylyn Safranek (who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
