Plymouth Whitemarsh waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Abington Galloping Ghosts. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colonials also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Madison Moran was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Plymouth Whitemarsh got a massive performance out of Gia Bono, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Bono also put up a home run, which was her first of the season. Anna Powel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two doubles.
Plymouth Whitemarsh's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Abington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
