Jackson Central Merry lost against Millington Central in their previous head to head back in January of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-20 score last time.
Millington Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaitlyn Holmes, who scored ten points. Bailey Boone was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Jackson Central Merry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Millington Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson Central Merry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
