Oak Harbor hasn't had much luck against Eastwood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rockets will welcome the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oak Harbor 3.1, Eastwood 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Brennan Butzin made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Butzin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Schultz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Oak Harbor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eastwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Lake by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Drew Kachmarik was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed eight innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oak Harbor has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eastwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
