Last Thursday, Tse' Yi' Gai came up short against Jemez Valley and fell 46-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tse' Yi' Gai in their matchups with Jemez Valley: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, To'hajiilee earned a 56-49 win over Mountainair on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for To'hajiilee.
To'hajiilee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khyran Guerro , who scored 15 points. The matchup was Guerro 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamen Werito , who scored 13 points.
Tse' Yi' Gai's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for To'hajiilee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Tse' Yi' Gai took a serious blow against To'hajiilee in their previous meeting back in February, falling 64-23. Can Tse' Yi' Gai avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
