Goldsboro extended the longest winning streak in 1A Carolina this week by beating Spring Creek, 61-12. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
North Duplin and Rosewood played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with North Duplin eventually emerging with a 42-41 victory. Tyler Royal ran for 192 yards in the win.
Goldsboro's dynamic duo of Julius Murphy and Joseph Baker proved tough for the Gators to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Murphy threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns and Baker had 91 yards receiving. James Clyde helped Goldsboro's passing attack out by catching two balls for 65 yards.

Murphy has thrown for 1691 yards this season, while Baker, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 35 catches for 495 yards. The Rebels' Royal leads the league in rushing yards with 1638.
Two of the top units in 1A Carolina will face off this week when the Cougars take on Ayden-Grifton. Goldsboro's offense has scored 351 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Chargers have allowed only 125 on the year.
