The Langston Hughes Panthers can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over Alexander on the road. The win was nothing new for Langston Hughes as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Langston Hughes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karrell Greene out in front who scored 14 points along with five steals. Greene continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kyla Greene was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and five assists.
Alexander struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Langston Hughes pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.75 points. As for Alexander, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
Langston Hughes' road trip will continue as they head out to face Webb at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Webb is ranked 33rd in Tennessee, while Langston Hughes is ranked 16th in Georgia). As for Alexander, they will head out on the road to challenge Kennesaw Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kennesaw Mountain is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
