Andrean had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Rossville Hornets on Saturday as they made off with  a  9-0 win. Considering the Fighting 59ers have won 13 contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past  Sadie Drousias, who gave up just  five  hits to keep Rossville off the board. Drousias has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Maggie Voliva, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  Micah Snider was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Andrean was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in April.
The  victory (which was Andrean's seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-7. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rossville,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 games  and leaves them with a 24-6 record.
As of now, neither Andrean nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
