The Putnam County War Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Glenn Hills 72-48. That looming 72-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Putnam County yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Putnam County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamaud Woodson, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woodson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Harper, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Putnam County's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Glenn Hills, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-14.
Putnam County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomson at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Thomson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Putnam County likes a good challenge. As for Glenn Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
