Several Stars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Hawkins, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Hawkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Quinn Westerfeld was another key player, going 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points and seven boards.
Cascade's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Western Boone, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will square off against Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Boone, they will head out on the road to challenge Fountain Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
